An overview of our SoCs that support direction finding can be found here. The nRF52832 is sadly not among them.

You might also want to take a look at the response by Saleh that explains what SoCs support the DF examples that are available in Zephyr, and take a look here & here to look at the samples from NCS. The NCS samples are preferable as a foundation for development as it will be improved upon continuously. Note that the examples are only supported by nRF52833 in NCS1.6, but will be supported by more in the next release.

Best regards,

There is a pair of samples that can be used together to make an AoA locator (receiver of CTE signals) and AoA tag (Sender of CTE signals):

AoA Tag:

http://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/zephyr/samples/bluetooth/direction_finding_connectionless_tx/README.html

AoA Locator:

http://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/zephyr/samples/bluetooth/direction_finding_connectionless_tx/README.html

in the requirement parts of these projects, these bords/processors are mentioned:

nRF5340DK board

nRF52833DK board with nRF52833 SOC

nRF52833DK board with nRF52820 SOC

So it seems nrf52832 doesn't support these samples, but definitely you can use nRF52833DK for example.

Also please note to measure the angle of AoA tag, an array antenna is needed in AoA locator side.
