 We are evaluating nRF 9160 for our next revision of the PCB, and we are testing nRF9160DK. 
 It came with a sim, which i tried to activate by nRF cloud, but it couldnt get activated, then i plugged in T-Mobile sim.

&lt;p&gt;If you have an issue with the iBasis SIM, please contact&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/members/ibasis-tech-support"&gt;iBasis Tech Support&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;via DevZone or send&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://ibasis.com/contact/"&gt;an email through their customer support&lt;/a&gt;. There have been some issues with the iBasis SIM cards.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;Please &lt;a href="https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-tools/nRF-Connect-for-desktop"&gt;install the nRF Connect for Desktop tool&lt;/a&gt;, and the LTE Link Monitor app from inside the tool. Have a &lt;a href="https://youtu.be/m5V4Vo_Xemk"&gt;look at this introduction video&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;on how to use. From here, please provide the log output from the LTE Link Monitor, which should show why it&amp;#39;s not registering to the network.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
