Also I forgot to mention, I tested on real hardware too.

The samples build and flash on nrf52840dk_nrf52811 but the same wouldn't build on the custom board that I have defined.

Yes.

They build perfectly with nrf52840dk_nrf52811 board.

Does those buid for the default board 'zephyr\boards\arm\nrf42840dk_nrf52811'?

Yes, I did the same.

It builds only a couple of examples such as blinky whereas samples including other peripherals such as MPU6050 Gyro-acceleroscope, or TMP100 Temperature sensor, etc do not build.

Any reasons for it?

Hi,

I am not sure how you have created your board in zpehyr, but I would have copied the 'zephyr\boards\arm\nrf42840dk_nrf52811' to 'zephyr\boards\arm\nrf42840dk_nrf52811_custom_board' and renamed 3 of the files as shown below:

Then you should be able to choose the 'nrf42840dk_nrf52811_custom_board' when building your application. Once you have verified it builds as-is it will be easier to start the modification of the 'nrf42840dk_nrf52811_custom_board' files.
