We are using nRF52832 IC for our project, Using BLE and PWM peripheral.
We are getting 1.28mA power consumption in the sleep mode.
As per the datasheet it should be 1.9uA.
1. Can you please tell what are all the blocks should be disabled

RE: About Sleep Mode(System ON IDLE mode)

Hi, I flashed the project you posted on to a PCA10040 DK, without any changes, and I get 1.9 uA in idle between the advertising events. And after a while it enters system OFF mode consuming 300 nA. This is how the advertising looks with your code:

So I believe everything is fine with the code you are using.

May I ask how you connect the PPK2? And are you measuring on a DK or a custom board?

Could you please provide us your inputs for reducing power consumption? After testing our sample program which is attached by Vinay singh.

We have measured the consumption before sending you with PPK2, It was ~280uA. We need to achieve as minimum as possible.

Thank you! we will be waiting for your inputs.

RE: About Sleep Mode(System ON IDLE mode)

devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../sample_5F00_program_5F00_ble_5F00_app_5F00_template.zip

I am sharing our sample program .zip file on behalf of nameismahi .

Please flash the code and observe the current consumption, and suggest changes we can have in our code to optimize current consumption.

*Note : We cannot share the whole source code, because it our company project. but yeah we have turn on whatever modules we are using in our project." (in sdk_config.h file)

I am sorry for the lack of reply. Could you attach your whole project folder as a zip file here so I can run it on my computer? I will need to take a look at how you are enabling sleep mode, the function idle_state_handle() is just a generic handle you can find in most of our examples, and most of the examples are not power optimized.

RE: About Sleep Mode(System ON IDLE mode)

Use function nrf_drv_pwm_stop().

RE: About Sleep Mode(System ON IDLE mode)

Hi Marjeris,

I went thorough this link before. I have doubt whether we are disabling the PWM before going to IDLE sleep mode.
I am sorry I meant to ask if you had disable the log module, since it uses UART it will consume power. In the sdk_config.h file make sure these defines are set to 0:

#define NRF_LOG_ENABLED 0

#define NRF_LOG_DEFAULT_LEVEL 0

You may also check out this in general: https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/nordic-blog/b/blog/posts/optimizing-power-on-nrf52-designs
