&lt;p&gt;Sorry for the late reply. I would recommend you to start any new development using nRF Connect SDK rather than using nRF5 SDK. You can try the following &lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/nrf-connect-sdk-guides/b/getting-started/posts/ncs-ble-tutorial-part-1-custom-service-in-peripheral-role"&gt;tutorial&lt;/a&gt; as it is a good example on bluetooth low energy custom Service and a recent one too. Do let me know how it goes.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

I followed the instructions step by step and the code compiled just fine. When i uploaded the code the board didn&amp;#39;t advertise and I could not find it on the rfConnect obviously.
