As of June 2021 (revision 1.4 of the nRF52840 product specification) we added documentation for a QFN48 package for nRF52840. So yes, it should be available. Please contact our sales department or your distributor for information on what we have in stock.

No.

You can get the NRF52832 (and some smaller NRF52xxx) in QFN48 or the NRF52833 in QFN40.

Addendum: I did not see any at the distributors at time of writing this post. Won't edit this post when that changes!
