I have a nRF51822 evaluation board and a nRF52833 DK.
Would it be possible to do Bluetooth direction finding with both of them?

I understand that nRF51822 is not capable of doing this but nRF52833 does and what I would like to do is tell the

RE: Direction finding with nRF51822 and nRF52833

I believe these two examples for bluetooth direction finding reception and transmission can help you begin.
I am afraid this is not possible to implement. You can use the nRF52833 DK alone for the direction finding. Try taking a look at direction finding guides and the product specification.
