&lt;p&gt;You might have some issues getting a high enough datarate over I2C, you could have a look at serial or parallel interfaces instead.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As an example Sparkfun has a lot of LCD drivers that will work for your purpose.&lt;/p&gt;
