&lt;p&gt;It seems the hex file is corrupt. There was an issue with merghex before which made it sometimes generate corrupt hex files with overlapping data.&amp;nbsp;Can you try updating to the latest &lt;a href="https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-tools/nrf-command-line-tools/download"&gt;nRF&amp;nbsp;Command Line Tools&lt;/a&gt;?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The bootloader will not know that you have a valid&amp;nbsp;application unless you also &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ug_nrfutil/UG/nrfutil/nrfutil_settings_generate_display.html"&gt;generate and flash the bootloader settings page&lt;/a&gt;. So in other words, when you have a system with SoftDevice and bootloader you need to flash 4 hex files (which you can merge beforehand if you like):&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;SoftDevice&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Bootloader&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Application&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Bootloader settings page&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;PS: nRFgo Studio is now legacy software and I&amp;nbsp;recommend you use &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fug_nc_programmer%2FUG%2Fnrf_connect_programmer%2Fncp_introduction.html"&gt;nRF Connect Programmer&lt;/a&gt; instead, though that is not related to what you are seeing.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
