&lt;p&gt;But I would say that it&amp;#39;s somewhat the same in this case as an unauthorized user&amp;nbsp;can&amp;#39;t read the data that is sent through the link without going through the &lt;a href="https://www.bluetooth.com/blog/bluetooth-pairing-part-4/"&gt;authentication&lt;/a&gt;. &lt;p&gt;1) I use Glucose application as a reference.So in&amp;nbsp; the Glucose example have only link encryption but no data encryption, Am I right?.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Encryption provides security in that it prevents people from sniffing the data that is sent. Glucose meter is a typical sensitive application where the user wants to protect the data thus the need for link encryption.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
