I worked out what my problem was. I was sent two SIM cards, once I used the iBasis one with 18 characters my problem went away. Still no idea why Nordic sent me 2 sim cards though and what the other one is for....

Hi Ryan and John,

This is Charlie, I am taking over this ticket due to my colleague's absence.

I checked the internal discussion regarding this issue. It seems we do not have a plan to add support of r EID due to the lack of API interface from iBasis. The solution seems ibigu@ibasis.net has connected customers and given them the ICCID numbers corresponding to each SIM card they send out. Have you checked with your iBasis contact or support for this issue? Some developers have used the workaround mentioned by rogierl.

This is correct, though if I have a batch of sim cards, still requires me to individually put them into my device and query this command. Not particularly intuitive.

Hi, any update on this? My SIM has 20 characters and because of this I cannot register it with nrfcloud.

Hi rfleming, I was able to retrieve the ICCID using the `modem_info` interface, using the following code:

modem_info_init();

char str[100];

modem_info_string_get(MODEM_INFO_ICCID, str, sizeof(str));

printk("ICCID: %s\n", str);

Needs to be enabled in the Zephyr (menu)config and don't forget to #include <modem/modem_info.h>

MODEM_INFO(=y) "nRF91 modem information library"

Turns out the latest sims actually have an EID printed on them instead of the traditional ICCID. Feature request, support both ^^
