Hi,

You don't need to start advertising. After applying .ncs to the device, it will start advertising. You can use nRF Connect (mobile) to check it advertises as 'Nordic_CTS' if you are using cts_central.ncs.

Hi Amanda,

you could use 'server setup' tab to load the setup file *.ncs, I can too... but you must use 'connection map' tab to start advertising, there is also one 'advertising setup' item in conneciton map, but inside it, it can NOT load the *.ncs file. If we really want to make it start advertsing , we have to load the setup file in the 'connection map'!!!

Sorry to misunderstand your question.

.ncs is the nRF Connect Sever setup file. You should set up sever to load .ncs.

Please pay attention to my question... My problem is when I use the Windows desktop nRF Connect tool, when I click the "load the setup" option, it filter me to only be able to load *.nca file and *.json file. which means I can NOT load *.ncs file.

Which example are you using?

If you are using the example like nRF5 Current Time Application or NCS Peripheral CTS client, the cts_central.ncs is under <nRF5 SDK>\examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_cts_c / samples/bluetooth/peripheral_cts_client folder.
