In NCS v1.5.0 the nrf5340 PDK was marked as deprecated.

The PDK is an earlier version of the development kit. So if the version is lower then 0.11.0 then it is a PDK. The biggest difference is that there ware some improvements to the SoC. Se Errata's. But difference depends a bit on what version you have of the PDK and DK.

Hi,

The chip version is different as the Development hardware documentation indicates. The nRF5340 PDK has been deprecated with the introduction of the production-level nRF5340 DK. See the nRF Connect SDK v1.4.0 documentation for the last release supporting the nRF5340 PDK.
