I don't have any short answer for you here, because within the nRF52 family there are different variants, e.g. difference in radio features and memory options.

You will need to look at the compatibility matrix for the individual nRF52 device and compare with the softdevice specifications (or the other way around, e.g. first find the softdevice that fit your requirements, and then go the the individual compatibility matrix for each nRF52 variant to find if it's supported or not), e.g.:

The above is correct if you are developing with the nRF5 SDK (e.g. S1xx softdevice), however you can also develop using the nRF Connect SDK (e.g. softdevice controller). In which case you need to look at Table 2 here:
