On my application I have connected and connectless links on the same device so can i use advertiser to broadcast something without expecting a connection ? Should i use a scanner to see all advertising packets around ?

RE: S130, connection without advertising ?

No, Central cannot. It needs advertising packets to time to send the connection request.

It cannot send packets to peripheral whenever it wants, because peripheral is not listening all the time. Even when peripheral is advertising, there are RADIO idle times.
