I am using PCA10040 DK for programming my custom board which is having the NRF52832 controller. Until yesterday afternoon, I was able to program my board using NRFgoStudio.
Suddenly NRF52 dev board stops detecting in the go studio. YOu should be able to find the DK under "Select Device" on the left hand side. Please also note that the voltage supported by external debugging is 3V.
When the external device is connected to the DK, the Interface MCU should detect the external board and program the external board instead of the on-board one. See section 8.10 of the DK user guide for details.

Yes, I am powering my controller in order to program, When I short the P22 jumper pin on DK, NRF programmer takes on board controller as interface MCU and not the one I want to program.

RE: unable to find or open the jLinkARM dll

Hi

Yes, you say that SB9 is cut, but in order to use the debugger (Interface MCU) you need to put a jumper cable on P22 (to restore normal functionality). Also note that you need to power the external board somehow, as the 10-pin debug cable won't do that for you.

Best regards,

Yes I have installed nrf command line tool latest version and SB9 bridge also cut on board. Still I am not able to program. I am using P19 connector for programming and using the NRF connect programmer software to doing so.

Kindly guide me through the process of programming as I have done through NRFgo studio but not using NRF programmer.

Please note that nRFgo Studio is very old at this point, and I'd not recommend using it for programming your devices. Have you installed the nRF Command Line Tools on your computer.

You say that you remove the P22 pin on the PCA10040. I assume you have cut the SB9 solder bridge for current measurements at some point, correct? You will need to add a jumper cable on P22 to make the onboard debugger work as intended, so if you remove this, that explains why you're not able to use it as intended. This is stated in the DK user guide here.

To program external devices, you either need to connect it over the 10-pin debug header or with the SWD pins on P20.

Best regards,
