So, I'm an idiot.

On Friday I ordered two PCA10040's.

They arrived yesterday afternoon, both of them seem to work fine.

I've apparently been testing with three bricked Development Kits. One of them (a PCA10095) had to have bricked sometime between Thursday evening (while I was testing successfully testing) and Friday morning (when I first saw the failure).

I have no idea what happened in the intervening ten hours - my laptop was turned off.

In any case, I apologize sincerely and thank you for your help.

If there is some guidance to 'unbricking' a PCA10095, I'd appreciate it.

Hi Martin,

We can try a few steps for troubleshooting:

1. Try to reset the DK using nrfjprog. ( nrfjprog --reset --log ) will produce a better log which can help us.

2. Try using the JLinkCommander to connect to the SoC's core. This will rule out connection issues between the onboard debugger and the SoC. For this, open JLinkCommander executable on your PC, type 'connect' and then use SWD to connect when prompted. You can use default options for all other settings. The output should be something like this:

Neither 7.20mor 7.58b make any difference.

I see the following four lines in the Programmer log

Doe this have any bearing on the problem?

Could you try upgrading the JLink to v7.20 or even to v7.58b?

How many boards do you have connected to the PC? One.

Do you face the same issue when connecting 1 board and multiple boards? I've never connected multiple boards.

Could you tell me you JLink version? V6.88a

I would suggest you to try using the nRF Connect for Desktop 3.7 and check whether you still face these issues.

I tried that. After applying the change in 'Settings" I see a note saying "3& Compatible Apps'. When I run 'Programmer' it runs Programmer V2.0.1, which shows the same failure.
