Does this happen on the unmodified samples? You say you are using a custom board. What version of the nRF53 chip do you have? Is it a production or an Engineering sample?

FYI have been informed the sdk-nrf was a bit out of date and have updated that to latest. Still has same behaviour.

I can debug the code and put,e.g. a breakpoint on main, say. Doing that, it will just keep running happily until a plug in the light_switch. A few seconds later, I'm back at breakpoint 1, main()--the chip is reset and I've lost all info pertaining to why.

When I try to nail it down and add bp to z_arm_fault()/z_fatal_error() instead I get thrown into z_arm_usage_fault() when the light_switch comes online, but the backtrace is full of nothing and I'm not certain how to isolate the issue further.

Is there any way to put in stack canaries or somesuch to aid in isolating what's tripping this? Which is CPU 0, anyway? Any help appreciated.
