&lt;p&gt;Also, I am just reading about &amp;quot;LNA_HCURR bit (0) in the RF_SETUP register&amp;quot; which is documented all over the internet but I cannot find anyware which state means LNA on or off.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We have 2 block diagrams showed how the sequence should be with PTX and PRX at page 35 and page 37 in the nRF24L01P Product Specification.
Let me know if there is something unclear on that.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You of course have to do all register configuration when the device in Standby-I mode, before setting CE=1.
And you should monitor TX_DS/RX_DR IRQ before clearing CE.&lt;/p&gt;
