I am trying to receive messages via Bluetooth mesh and forward them via UART (using UART async API) on the nrf9160DK. But when I try this, I get an assertion error from the HCI core indicating a timeout (see logs). Below you can see my configs and

RE: Assertion Fail Bluetooth Mesh & UART

It could be that setting CONFIG_BT_WAIT_NOP=y also helps.

Yes, I did specify the board revision (via nRF Connect VSCode extension). In VSCode terminal the west build command has "--board nrf9160dk_nrf52840@1.0.0" as argument

RE: Assertion Fail Bluetooth Mesh & UART

Hi,

Did you specify a board revision when building your application?

When building the nrf9160 app:

-DBOARD=nrf9160dk_nrf9160_ns@1.0.0

When building the nRF52840 app:

-DBOARD=nrf9160dk_nrf52840@1.0.0

RE: Assertion Fail Bluetooth Mesh & UART

I have done a lot of testing and I found that this was caused by including "#include <nrf9160dk_nrf52840_reset_on_if9.dtsi>". I am not sure why this is but when I removed this line, no more assertion fails are created.
