Hi Lars,

Are you able to select the board in LTE Link monitor?

You might need to upload a hex that includes a bootloader. In the file you downloaded there is a folder named img_app_bl, which contains hex-files that includes a bootloader. Try uploading the SLM hex from that folder and see if it works better.

LarsV forgot to mention that on the latest build I needed to add an overlay named for whichever_board_you're_using.overlay to the /boards directory in the current build directory containing the text,

&uart0 {
cts-pin = <0xFFFFFFFF>;
rts-pin = <0xFFFFFFFF>;
};

You may not need this depending on your hardware.

Hi Hakon,

I've followd the link and downloaded the files. I've uploaded the "serial_lte_modem_2021-12-15_cfedfdfa.hex". When trying to connect via the LTE link monitor, i don't get any response from the board.

Yes. If you download the nRF9160-DK application and modem firmware and you will find a binaries and hex for the Serial LTE Modem in the zip-file.

Hi LarsV I just installed the latest NCS 1.8 last week on Windows. If by SLM you are referring to serial LTE Modem, I just tested it and it compiled correctly on Windows 10 for a NRF9160 target using SES 5.68. I had to follow the manual install procedure for NCS install as the auto install with VB Code would not work for me. Everything has been working great with SES so far. Best.
