I'm hoping to find an example application that shows the expected file structure/CMakeLists/KConfig for a project that includes some sensors that aren't already in the zephyr library. I expect this would help

RE: Example application showing custom driver development

Take a look at this reply, where I have listed three ways of adding a library/driver to NCS: https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/support-private/support/269125#permalink=658068

Under "Application Development" they have an example project here: https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/example-application/tree/main/app

however this doesn't look like the project structure that the nRF Connect for VSCode extension generates. Namely, the top-level zephyr application includes an "app" directory which include "src" as a subdirectory, while the VSCode generated structure starts at "src". Should I emulate the example application? Why doesn't the extension? It would add some work to manually convert everything.
