 i work with nrf52840 , .. want to move to ncs 1.8 
 seems that moving to ncs 1.8 forces me to update to zephyr-sdk-0.13.2 (from 0.12.4) 
 is it really a must or am i missing something ?

&lt;p&gt;Updating the sdk shouldn&amp;#39;t cause issues like you are describing while performing DFU. It could possibly be an issue with how the image is linked, if some addresses have changed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Could you give me a bit more information on what you are seeing when you try to perform the DFU? When you try to perform the DFU it seems to update the image properly, but after it says that it has finished the DFU successfully, there is no change to the application?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Could I see the log when you perform the DFU?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
