Can we use the PPK2 kit for measuring current consumption in any other reference design board from a different
vendor which is not same as DA. The other vendor does provide probe point (GND, POSITIVE, and NEGATIVE) to connect
to PPK2 kit

That points to the PPK not being set up correctly or not working correctly. The picture is too small for me to see if the pins are connected correctly to your board. Is it connected as an Ampere-meter to the board? How are you powering the board your measuring on here? These spikes could be USB noise if it's powered over a USB. Can you also try connecting it as a source meter where you power the circuit you'd like to measure the current consumption over (if possible)?

Best regards,

In this last snapshot it seems like the peak currents are all the same. Can you zoom in on multiple peaks and confirm or not whether all peaks are 716.80µA or not? If so, that points to the PPK not being set up correctly or not working correctly. Are you running it in Source Meter mode or Ampere Meter mode here, and how is it connected to the board you're measuring on?

These screenshots show an average current consumption of 0.4-0.5uA. What do you mean by 800uA exactly? The peak currents are measured to ~720uA which I guess is the SnapDragon doing some processing. I don't think your device or PPK is operating incorrectly.

Yes, i've followed the instructions manual. idle state is reporting less than 10 microamps.

Have you read and followed the PPK2 user guide and made sure you have connected the board you are measuring on correctly? Can you show me a snippet of the power profiler trace where you see the 800µA and maybe how your device is connected to your development kit? What development board specifically is it connected to?

Im able to use PPK2 kit connected to another development board and measure current consumption.

When idle, it's reposrting few micro amps.

When I run an application, it always shows 800 micro amps, irrespective of the application running.

For compute simpler decoder it shows 800 micro amps, and compute intensive encoder also it shows 800

micro amps.
