An additional suggestion for the Compatibility Matrix document:

In multiple places the term "packet" is used where it seems like the correct term should be "package". e.g. "Packet/ Variant" heading should be "Package/ Variant" instead.

Also, the product specification document specifically refers to "Package code" in the abbreviation section but then uses the term "packet" in subsequent headings.

The product page uses the term package rather than packet.

Also, while I understand backwards compatibility is problematic at the best of times, I would like to add my vote to request that Nordic handle & document IC / SD / SDK revisions more helpfully in the future. This is particularly the case with ANT-related support.

It would be helpful if a footnote marker "c" was added to page 6 to explain this explicitly. While the explanation is available on the forums it's not easy to find and should really be in the official reference.

Yes, there is no SDK that is compatible with the SoftDevice/IC rev combination.

Also, can you please clarify how the "-" in the "nRF51 SDK" column is meant to be interpreted? Or is that what you mean by "Rev 2 is not compatible with SDK 7 and newer as the PAN workarounds are no longer a part of the SDK. You might be able to implement these yourself, depending on your needs."?

The dash/hyphen looks like it's implying the softdevice is compatible with the IC revision but there's no SDK that is compatible with the softdevice/IC revision combination.

You are right, the compatibility matrix does not seem to have been updated for SDK 9. I will forward this to the right person.

Since all the new information is being made available on Infocenter we will end up with more readable URLs, just need to shake old habits when liking =P

Am I missing something or has the compatibility matrix not been updated for SDK 9.0?

You linked to v2.1 of the document (which is the same version linked from www.nordicsemi.com/.../nRF51822) but that version appears stale as the Info Center links to v2.3 infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp but, while more recent, v2.3 doesn't seem to have been updated to include SDK 9.0.

Any chance you could get the right person to update the links in all places and update the document to include the SDK 9.0?

(Side note, the download URLs of the form www.nordicsemi.com/.../86083509 are pretty uninformative--it would be far nicer if they could at least have the actual filename in them. :) )

Hi,

The compatibility of SDK, SD and chip revision can be seen in the Compatibility matrix. Rev 2 is not compatible with SDK 7 and newer as the PAN workarounds are no longer a part of the SDK. You might be able to implement these yourself, depending on your needs.
