I am using this BLE module based on Nordic, and it seems to work ONLY 2-3m far from my Mac computer within the same room. I have other BLE devices (headphones

RE: Low distance issue: What is the typical distance using 0 dBm tx power?

Hi,

It's very difficult for us to give particular numbers about the coverage distance because it's environment-dependent. Also, it's varied by the antenna, hardware board, and output power. However, you can find a lot more information and some range-tests that we have done. nRF52840-DK Range Testing With BLE, ZigBee and Thread Protocols at 0, 4 and 8dBm Transmit Power Settings

As for the range, it is really only dependent on the TX output power, the PHY layer used( 1Mbps, 2Mbps, or Coded), and how well the RF frontend is tuned and laid out on the PCBs.

Are you developing the PCB? Hope this post and this post might help.

Regards,
Amanda
