&lt;p&gt;It might be that you are measuring a strong reflection rather than the line of sight signal. This will be especially so in a small room rather than a large warehouse. We have a &lt;a href="https://bluetoothlocationengine.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"&gt;BluetoothLocationEngine&lt;span class="emoticon" data-url="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/cfs-file/__key/system/emoji/2122.svg" title="Tm"&gt;&amp;#x2122;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;that processes IQ. It has to use anti-reflection and noise reduction techniques to obtain reliable angles from IQ data.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you look at our &lt;a href="https://bluetoothlocationengine.com/assets/images/3dlocation.gif" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"&gt;unprocessed data&lt;/a&gt; you can see smaller peaks that can become larger than the main peak in some circumstances.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;As shown above, I am using&lt;span class="red-underline"&gt; &amp;theta; &lt;/span&gt;to represent the true angle of incidence (the ground truth of AOA), which ranges from -90&amp;deg; to 90&amp;deg;, where 0&amp;deg; means that the incident angle is vertical (the signal from TX is perpendicular to the antenna array of RX).&amp;nbsp;I use &amp;theta;&amp;#39; to denote the angle of incidence derived from the IQ samples received from the RX. Ideally, &amp;theta;&amp;#39; should be equal to &amp;theta;. However, there is some error between &amp;theta;&amp;#39; and &amp;theta; due to interference from other obstacles or other signals, etc. If the error is &amp;alpha;, then &amp;theta;&amp;#39;&amp;nbsp;&amp;isin; [&amp;theta;-&amp;alpha;, &amp;theta;+&amp;alpha;].&amp;nbsp;Although some extreme cases of &amp;theta;&amp;#39; may be beyond this range, repeating the experiment numerous&amp;nbsp;times in the same scenario, &amp;theta;&amp;#39; should generally fall within this range. Assuming an error of 10&amp;deg;, then at least half of the data can be derived for &amp;theta;&amp;#39; &amp;isin; [&amp;theta;-10&amp;deg;, &amp;theta;+10&amp;deg;].&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However, I currently encounter a situation where whatever the true &amp;theta; is (e.g. -60&amp;deg;, -45&amp;deg;, 30&amp;deg;, 60&amp;deg;, etc.), more than 60% of the data yields &amp;theta;&amp;#39; &amp;isin; [0&amp;deg;, 20&amp;deg;] instead of &amp;theta;&amp;#39; &amp;isin; [&amp;theta;-10&amp;deg;, &amp;theta;+10&amp;deg;].&amp;nbsp;In other words, it seems that something else (not &amp;theta;) is dominating &amp;theta;&amp;#39;.&amp;nbsp;This looks a little strange.
