The sniffer trace only includes advertising packets. Anyways, I think I know why it is not working. You need to use the device manager central library included in the folder. The project in \pca10028\s120\arm5_no_packs uses it, but the project in \pca10031\s130\arm5_no_packs doesn't. Just remove the library and add the one included in the folder instead. I should have been clear about this, but I'm not used to the combined project structure, sorry.

I know, I just wanted to have the device markings of the nRF51822 chip so I can see what revision it is, and test with the same here.

You are forgetting the device in Bluetooth settings before the first connection right? What iOS device are you using? What app are you using on the iOS device? Could you provide me with a sniffer trace? You can use NRF Sniffer of you have another nrf51 dongle or kit. Could you also check the flash to see if a bond is stored. It will be at 0x3F800. Does the same thing happen if you do a proper disconnect by disabling and enabling Bluetooth I'm the iOS device in the first connection?

I found a bug in my code, the m_irk_index_table[] was not set correctly in dm_whitelist_create(). Here is my project with the fix. Please try it and get back to me.

You are not calling ble_db_discovery_start() before dm_security_setup_req right? Could you try to debug what is happening inside dm_security_setup_req()? Are you getting to sd_ble_gap_encrypt()?
