&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;The HFXO crystal is required for the Softdevice. Maybe you could change the oscillator to test. See &lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/75997/changing-the-oscillator/313656#313656"&gt;this post&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
