I found out why Visual Studio keeps looking for old projects after you've deleted them.

If you go to File > Preferences > Settings > Workspace > nRF Connect

You will find a list of paths that Visual Studio will look for. Your old project might still be listed here after you've deleted it.

Removing it from this list solved the issue for me.

I think it is solved with the new version of the sdk extension.

Hello!

I've been seeing the same behavior from Visual Studio today.

Your first problem is caused by the latest VS Code release (V1.65) not cooperating with the nRF Connect SDK.

Our internal team is working on fixing this, but until then the issue can be solved by downgrading to a previous VS Code version.

I'm not sure what is causing your other problem, but I've also seen that behavior myself. I'll let you know if I find a solution.
