Currently using a nRF9160 DK with an iBasis eSIM (connected to AWS/Azure)
Any good input on using the eSIM as an root of trust? Implementing it as a security layer?
Best regards, Håkon.

RE: nRF9160 DK Using iBasis SIM as a root of trust

Hi Håkon,

We do not have samples or documents covering this topic.

eSIM as a root of trust support is mostly decided by the eSIM manufacturer or operators' side. GSMA has one guidance covering this topic: Common Implementation Guide to Using the SIM as a ‘Root of Trust’ to Secure IoT Applications. bu I did not see iBasis and other popular operators launched SIM cards claiming support on RoT so far. Maybe you can check with them directly?

Best regards,
