Once again, this is odd. Did you try it on another computer?

What you can do if you don't need the MSD option (considering that the terminal works well for you), is to disable it completely. To do this, use the program "J-Link Commander", which is part of the Segger J-Link Software and Documentation Pack, and use the command "MSDDisable" (without the quotes). To reenable MSD, use the command "MSDEnable".

Jlink is V7.60g, programmer v2.3.3, Windows 10, yes I am able to flash the nRF52840DK

What is your JLink and nrfjprog version now? And is that Windows 10 that you are running on? Are you able to flash anything to the DK?

Yes I originally only used the Segger IDE where I first noticed it when plugging in the nRF52840DK but since then I now use VS with your SDK 1.9.1 and exactly the same problem.

No this is the only device the problem occurs, it would appear to be a driver issue.
