The sniffer firmware is not open source. There is code for Wireshark plugins in the release if that would be of interest, though.

Yes, you can use the PCA10028 as dongle with MCP(Master Control Panel). You'll have to connect P0.30 to ground and then flash the Master Emulator Firmware (MEFW) to the PCA10028.

Hi.

Yes you can. Just download Wireshark and Nordic's Sniffer software. Then use nRFgo Studio to program the .hex file included in the .zip file to your PCA10028, execute ble-sniffer_win_1.0.1_1111_Sniffer.exe (also in the zip file), and you are good to go.
