thanks, I had this issue on linux and disabling the C-make extension ( not related to Nordic's ) fixed it

I had the same issue, I have C-Make also on VS Code which was stopping it load. Disabling C-Make allowed nRF Connect to load.

According to your colleague's guidelines regarding a new post that i created, in my occasion the problem solved by deleting ../Users/<your-user-name>/AppData/Roaming/Code.

Can you please try to open the VS Code settings, and set nrf-connect.welcome.showOnStartup to false (untick the box).

Please let me know if enables it to load.

Then, without knowing if this is similar to anything I have seen before, I would suggest you try to remove and reinstall NCS completely (and probably in a different location as well, to be sure). You can also try to uninstall and reinstall nRF Connect for VS Code in Visual Studio Code.

i have delete all files included build files.

i tried to run vs code stand alone and nrf connect extension is still loading....

Seeing as the previous user didn't reply, please try deleting all the build folders in the samples you have tested earlier.

Hello,

Can you please try to remember if you have started some samples, and hence, copied them to some folder on your computer. If that is the case, can you please try to delete that folder (or rename it, so taht it is no longer present in the same path that Visual Studio Code think it is. I have seen this issue occur once, when there was a corrupt project folder, which nRF Connect for VS Code didn't manage to load properly.

Try that, and let me know if it doesn't work.

I have encountered this situation before. After restarting vscode, it will return to normal. It could be a network problem.
It is also recommended that you confirm that the latest version of NRF command line tools has been installed.
