&lt;p&gt;Depending on what SDK you&amp;#39;re you have a few options. If you use the nRF Connect SDK the VS code and nRF Connect extension mentioned by &lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/members/anthony-yuan"&gt;Anthony Yuan&lt;/a&gt; is the best option. For nRF5 SDK projects I would recommend using &lt;a href="https://www.segger.com/downloads/embedded-studio/"&gt;SEGGER Embedded Studios&lt;/a&gt;. You get a free license for it if you have an nRF device.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Please note that if you&amp;#39;re new to the Nordic Semiconductor workspace we recommend using the&lt;a href="https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/index.html"&gt; nRF Connect SDK&lt;/a&gt; which is our newest, and we also just released the &lt;a href="https://academy.nordicsemi.com/courses/nrf-connect-sdk-fundamentals/?utm_campaign=Nordic%20DevAcademy&amp;amp;utm_source=DevZone%20banner&amp;amp;utm_medium=Banner%20DevZone%20to%20Nordic%20DevAcademy"&gt;DevAcademy&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;with courses on nRFConnect SDK fundamentals, and much much more.&lt;/p&gt;
