I have now added the app_fifo.c and app_uart_fifo.c to my project and changed the sdk_config.h file according to your example. Now the printf statment does again work to write messages to the COM port. So thanks for your help.

Hi Michel,
I think it's has something to do with the back end used to output to UART. We migrated to the app_uart library in newer Mesh SDK versions instead of the mesh uart library.

I will have a look at it, but do you know why the prinf function does not anymore work besides the RTT messages?

Hi Michel,

I did some work to add UART log into mesh example a while back. You can find the example here. It was for SDK v4.0 but I believe it should be very similar to v5.0.0 since it's not a big change between these two versions.
