Any update on this? I cannot use nRF Sniffer to follow a device both on Windows 10 64bit and on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Haven't succeed even for once. I cannot even find the Jlink 5.10i online anymore since it's so old.

At first I couldn't get any traffic in wireshark at all. Downgrading to j-link firmware 5.10d as recommended in another thread fixed that issue. IIRC this worked fine the first time(s). Now I get this problem instead. Where can i download Jlink v5.10i?? Is it really reasonable to keep referring to different but very specific versions of third party software that the company no longer has available for download?

@Eliot Stock: I just updated the case, seems that the firmware from Segger Jlink v5.10i fixed the issue.

@Eliot: I'm sorry but the root cause is not found yet. We are a little bit short on resource to do further investigation. I will let you know when we find something.

I can dodge problem for a while by working with other parts of my application, when I really need to use the sniffer I'll try your suggestions.

@Edweirdo: I have reported this issue internally. I hope we will have a fix soon. For now I would suggest you to try to plug on different USB port, also try to uninstall and install Wireshark and nRF Sniffer again. Wireshark v1.10 is recommended

Update: new firmware for the Segger chip on board from Segger Jlink v5.10i seemed to fix the issue. Please try and let me know if it does.

I was a bit unclear in my previous comment, I tried Petter's suggestion and re-plugged it several times and got it to work once, but can't reproduce it.

@Edweirdo: Have you tried what Petter suggested ? I also experiencing this issue and has reported it internally. A several unplug and plug the dongle helped to resolve the issue.

It worked the first time I unplugged it, but when I reprogrammed the board from the ble_app_template to my own application I accidentally overwrote and had to reprogram the dongle, and now it won't work no matter what I do to it.

I have experienced this, I guess you have already tried it, but I just replugged the dongle a couple of times.
