Thanks- I have trouble getting the app 2.9.0 from Github. I'm not that familiar with the process of installing into my phone from Github. If i do it from the Android app store, it wants to intall the latest version. I log into Githib on my phone ,open a repository then what?

Also, the new version translates the data back to Ascii characters. For example, when I send a character to request some data back.(4 bytes) the old app would show 0A 12 24 E6 for example. The new version 3.0.0 sends back 4 Ascii characters of whatever those 4 bytes translate to in Ascii.

Why the new app doesn't work for you?

You should be able to create a configuration with a + button, set up 9 buttons and then use them after exiting Edit mode. The data received should be visible in the bottom pane.

Also- The old app gave me received data in Hex. It transmitted ascii characters typed into the phone, but listed both raw and converted Ascii characters received
