You can contact our sales department for better suggestions than what I'm able to give, as I'm not up to date on availablility, but AFAIK, the nRF52DK is the best bang for the buck as far as what goes for programming tools.

Well, problem is that it costs $65, more than a fallback dk52.. kinda beats the purpose.

Adding to what I wrote above availability is currently horrible. Many many boards, including jlink edu-mini are unavailable with no prospect of restock

You use the IDAP-Link https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/I-SYST/CS-BLYST-08?qs=T3oQrply3y%252BhSfpc3hK%2FLg%3D%3D.

It comes with command line utilise to parallel flashing multiple nRF51/nRF52 boards at the same time, great for production. Can flash softdevice + app + dfu without requiring mergehex. Multiple IDAP-Link are required for parallel flashing.

Also works as CMSIS-DAP debug jtag. So can use it as well with any IDE or OpenOCD that supports CMSIS-DAP on any ARM Cortex-M supported by the IDE.
