I installed the latest version when I received the device according to the get started guide. I don't see how this is related to my query about hardware

<sigh> No it doesn't. The board markings are not shown at all on that page. I am using the Thingy91 with the orange cover. What do P1, P2, 1D, 2D, P6 etc relate to?

In the pin map it says there are pins which are externally available. However given the pin map and the board don't use the same numbering system, this doesn't really help me ,does it? Where is the mapping documented?

Hello,

The pins externally available are labeled in the pin map you linked. You can see some pins are labeled as ''Digital GPIO externally available'' which you can use to connect extra connectors on the thingy 91. P7 is connected to some spare MOSFETs on the thingy 91, while P6 are the externally available GPIO pins. Here you can see which GPIO pins of the nRF52840 is connected to P6.

Thanks, so I see lots of comments about test points, great. What about the pins which I could potentially connect to. Where are these documented?
