&lt;p&gt;First, if you are interested in machine learning on our microcontrollers, I can recommend to have a look at our samples for &lt;a href="https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/applications/machine_learning/README.html"&gt;Edge Impulse&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;But to answer your question:&lt;br /&gt;The reason tflite is not included by default is likely that the library take up a lot of space.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I think the solution to this is to use the &lt;a href="https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/dm_adding_code.html#id6"&gt;Application as the manifest repository&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
