Yes, we plan to up the toolchain for future releases.

Newer toolchains should have this specific fix in place, as stated in the original issue:

Following the issue, you end up here:

stating that its merged to trunk + gcc-10.

That being said, it is still recommended that you use the toolchain that we test against, to ensure that you're not running into other potential issues.

you can ofcourse freely use gdb from a newer toolchain version if that is your preference.
