Hi,

Thank you for sharing these tips! I often use this myself as well.

As I mention in my reply to Ed there is also a feature that allows you to bind custom tasks to build and flash actions now. So you can for example make it so that the build action will always build pristine. See Bind Task to Action for more information.

You can request this using the 'Give feedback' option in the extension:

In recent versions you can also bind custom tasks to the build and flash actions: Bind Task to Action.

Just an FYI - I stopped using that as it always seems to be changing. I got into the habit of doing:

CTRL+Shift+P - Select nRF Connect - Pristine Build (will stay at the top once you use it)

CTRL+ALT+B - Build project

CTRL+ALT+P - Flash to device (will also do a build if needed)

Thanks for the tip Marte, this post helped me a lot and the release notes are awesome.

For Connected Devices and Applications, that icon is used to refresh the list. For Actions I wrongly assumed the same icon would do the same thing. My bad, but can I put in a request for an all-new shiny Pristine Build icon?

Hi Eugene,

The Pristine Build action has been removed, but when hovering over the Build action you can see a new Pristine Build icon to the right:

You can read more about this in the release notes for the extension.

Hello Marte,

I have a similar problem with that missing pristine build menu.

After changing the "Workspace" setting of VS Code extension then, it disappeared.
