No, unless you need features from the newer versions it shouldn't be necessary to upgrade as far as I know.

Thanks, I haven't seens this post before.

But how should I treat new versions of the SDK? If I experience no problems with the version I'm using, should I anyway try to upgrade to the newest? It feels one may run into quite a lot of work.
