My problem: I have custom code on my nRF52840 DK, which is used as an aggregator for some nordic thingys. Now I have the issue that I connect my nrf52840

RE: How to set nrf USB port for CDC ACM on a nRF52840 DK so that I can run my code?

Good to hear you found a solution, hopefully it is not something you will have to do more times...

I will consider the case resolved then. The best of luck with your project 🙂

Unfortunately I could not tell what exactly the issue was, but for me, this is now resolved.

RE: How to set nrf USB port for CDC ACM on a nRF52840 DK so that I can run my code?

Hi

This is a common issue with more specialized hardware platforms. The drivers might not be as well tested, and getting support to fix them is usually harder.

Maybe USB HID would work?

Best regards
Torbjørn

RE: How to set nrf USB port for CDC ACM on a nRF52840 DK so that I can run my code?

yeah, the connection via the other port works directly, and the board is recognized. However, for my use case, I would need the other one.

But you are probably right, it seems to be a problem with my nVidia setup, even tough it already worked on a similar setup with another nVidia jetson. But after all, sometimes the drivers are a problem as far as I could see with all the images and the individual setups.

RE: How to set nrf USB port for CDC ACM on a nRF52840 DK so that I can run my code?

Hi

Sounds like this is not really an issue on the nRF side then, but a problem with the CDC driver on your nVidia board?

This is not really something we can help with. Have you tried to contact them about the issue?

Have you looked for the device natively on the board (not through the docker) to see if you can find it there?

However, the jetson nano does not recognize the port.
Just to be clear, will the CDC ACM USB port be detected by a standard PC, when using the nRF USB port?

In other words, does the problem appear to be on the PC side, or on the nRF side?
