Just to be clear, you did not install a new python version when the issue occurred, but you tried installing different version later to resolve the issue?

Have you tried force reinstalling nrfutil? (Make sure to backup any required files in the python modules)

pip install nrfutil --force-reinstall

Strangely enough, only nrfutil(.exe) doesn't work... The script (nrfutil-script.py) works of course.

I have been using Python 3.9. When the problem occurred, I installed Python 3.10, but the latest version of nrfutil was not available. (And I still got the same error).
After repeating this process many times, I am now on Python 3.8, but the error is still there.

Hi,

It looks like something changed on your computer. Did you update/install a new version of python, etc?

What python version are you using? (what is the output from "python --version")

Maybe something from this thread may help you resolve the issue?
