Other nrfjprog operations like reading, programming, etc. work just fine.
In VS Code, when I click "Flash" it will

RE: Pin reset with nrfjprog has no effect

I see. Then you can use "--reset" instead of "--pinreset" when using nrfjprog. The reset type used by the "Flash" action (i.e. "west flash") is controlled by the board configuration as discussed in this thread: https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/84537/enabling-pin-reset-is-still-active-even-with-config_gpio_as_pinreset-n/351824#351824

RE: Pin reset with nrfjprog has no effect

Well I certainly have not plugged any reset line into my J-Link, that might be the problem. :) I assumed it would reset using the SWD interface.

Is it possible to change the "Flash" action in VS Code to use SWD instead of a dedicated reset line to perform the reset after flashing?

RE: Pin reset with nrfjprog has no effect

Hello,

Are you testing this on a Nordic 52 DK, or a custom board? If it is a custom board, are you sure the reset pin is routed out to the debug header?
"Reset Board" under "Connected Devices", then it resets successfully.
This will perform a soft reset through the debug interface.
