This is something you should take with the RSM as this is a roadmap question.

I contacted the FAE but got no response. Is there a timeline when the DFU over Mesh be implemented in Zephyr? The limitations of the BLE method is that only one device at a time can be updated.and it has to be in BLE range. OTA DFU is a crucial feature for large installations.

That's unfortunate. Hope it will be implemented soon. In the meantime, is it possible to do a DFU over BLE ? If so -- could you point to sample code?

Hi,

Unfortunately, NCS/Zephyr does not support DFU over Mesh at the moment, we currently only have support for this in nRF5 SDK, but it does have support for point-to-point DFU using mcumgr component.

You can have a look at this sample in Zephyr.

You could ask your regional sales manager regarding future plans or roadmaps concerning DFU over Mesh. If you do not have the contact information for your RSM, please send me a PM and I will give it to you.
