I have the very same problem with the nRF52832 on the nrf52 DK with a program compiled with the (OLD) nrf52 SDK.

I see that you created a new case on this: The currently active SWD interface does not support MSD drag and drop

Was this issue ever resolved?

I am facing the same issue. This worked just fine with previous boards. The new boards we just purchased are failing.

To be fair, I have already skipped the 'drag and drop' feature and have programmed using nRF Connect SDK. This works just fine. However, the drag and drop issue should be resolved as it is described in the getting started guide. Thanks anyway.

First, if you are new to our products, we recommend using the nRF Connect SDK instead of the nRF5 SDK. See our nRF Connect SDK and nRF5 SDK statement.

To get started with the nRF Connect SDK, our DevAcademy is very useful to get started!

However, if you still want to use the nRF5 SDK, you can program the board using Segger Embedded Studio instead of Drag & Drop:
Target->Connect + Target->Download
