How do you create a macro in the nRF Connect Mobile app (Android) that displays RSSI in the log every time I receive a temperature signal.
Thanks very much.

RE: RSSI Macro nRF Connect Mobile (Android)

Hi Simon,

That is correct - I want to view RSSI. However, I want to create a macro that displays RSSI in the log every time a temperature signal is received. Temperature measurements are one of the services of the BLE device that I am using. How do I create this macro?

Thanks,

I'm not sure I understand what you mean here. Did you set the macro after connecting to a device? You can read RSSI manually after connecting to a device with the "..." dropdown menu once connected, is this what you're referring to or am I misunderstanding?

Best regards,

Simon

RE: RSSI Macro nRF Connect Mobile (Android)

Thank you. I am aware of Aleksander’s response. I understand that the macro cannot be programmed to work on connection.

My question in this ticket is simply how to create the macro that displays RSSI when a temperature signal is displayed (when connected to BLE device)? This macro previously worked but I accidentally deleted it.

Thanks

RE: RSSI Macro nRF Connect Mobile (Android)

Hi

As Aleksander, one of our Mobile applications engineers said in your previous ticket, this is a task we have in our backlog to add/select macros, but we don't have any dates for when this can be expected. So the option at the moment is to start the macro manually, or try to write your own simple Android app that does what you need. You can use the nRF Connect for Android GitHub for reference, but the source code is not available I'm afraid.

Best regards,
